Understanding how we ensure your memorial lasts 100+ years
Perpetual Care Status (PCS) is our commitment to preserve your loved one's memorial permanently. When you achieve PCS, your memorial is funded for long-term hosting and eventual transfer to our nonprofit foundation for archival stewardship. This is how we deliver on our 100-year guarantee.
Choose the path that works best for you:
Pay the Lump Sum fee upfront and immediately achieve Perpetual Care Status. No future payments required — ever.
Families who want immediate permanence and prefer to pay once rather than manage ongoing subscriptions.
View Lump Sum OptionsPay annually for 10 consecutive years in good standing. After Year 10, you achieve PCS and future payments stop.
Families who prefer spreading costs over time and are committed to long-term memorial preservation.

You have 10 years from your memorial's Creation Date to achieve PCS. After the 10-year mark, you can no longer purchase Lump Sum or achieve PCS through annual payments. This ensures all PCS memorials are funded within our Foundation transfer timeline.
When you achieve PCS, funds are allocated to our segregated Perpetual Care Fund (PCF) — a restricted asset account dedicated solely to long-term memorial preservation.
After 11 years in PCS status, eligible memorials transfer to the LifeMemoriam Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to digital archival preservation.
The Foundation uses PCF funds to host memorials indefinitely. Our static HTML architecture ensures accessibility for 100+ years without updates or maintenance.
Most online memorial services depend on ongoing payments forever or disappear when the company closes. Our PCS system creates funded, transferable assets that outlive any single company. Your memorial becomes part of a permanent digital archive, maintained by a nonprofit foundation with a single mission: preservation.
If you stop paying before Year 10, your memorial goes into "Administratively Paused" status. You can reinstate by paying arrears at current rates, or convert to Lump Sum PCS before your 10-year deadline.
Yes! You can upgrade to Lump Sum PCS at any time before your 10-year deadline. This immediately achieves PCS and stops all future payments.
If ProSynServ, Inc. dissolves, we're legally required to transfer all PCS memorials and 100% of the Perpetual Care Fund to the LifeMemoriam Foundation or another qualified nonprofit archive (like Internet Archive).
You have no more payment obligations. Your memorial stays online indefinitely. After 11 years in PCS status, it becomes eligible for transfer to the Foundation for permanent archival preservation.
Non-PCS memorials require ongoing annual payments to stay online. PCS memorials are fully funded, require no future payments, and are protected by the Perpetual Care Fund for long-term preservation.
